Making Type 1 Diabetes Education More Accessible

Alert4T1D is a teen-led Type 1 diabetes awareness initiative dedicated to educating children, parents and families, emergency medical personnel, and the broader public about Type 1 diabetes, its early warning signs, the importance of screening and early detection, and common misconceptions. Through accessible education, podcasts, and community outreach, Alert4T1D aims to improve recognition of T1D symptoms, reduce delays in diagnosis, promote accurate understanding of the condition, and help prevent life-threatening complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).
